FFEM and AFD launch a series of 3 (online) Webinars dedicated to Ecoconstruction: "THE THURSDAYS OF ECOCONSTRUCTION"
They will successively address 3 key themes for the deployment and scaling up, by crossing perspectives from the South and the North:
1. Towards a standardization of the sector: materials, techniques, construction of a sector
2. Ecoconstruction training at all levels : SKILLS DEVELOPMENT - QUALIFICATION - EMPLOYABILITY
3. Change the image and amplify the impact of ecoconstruction: extension, communication, and scaling up
Webinar No. 3 in a few key words:
- Highlighting feedback and concrete tools to equip public and private decision-makers in integrating ecoconstruction into their projects.
- Exploring incentives, regulatory, and financial levers that encourage the sector’s scaling up.
- Building a network of stakeholders - institutions, companies, universities, and associations - committed to developing a sustainable ecoconstruction sector.
This third webinar aims to bring together public, private, academic, and professional players for a discussion on scaling and changing perceptions of ecoconstruction. The goal is to reposition this approach as a modern model, accessible and able to create local value, while identifying political, economic, and technical levers necessary for mainstreaming it at both national and regional levels.
Moderator: Stéphane Signoret – Journalist and independent author, expert in energy transition and popularizing issues related to energy efficiency and sufficiency.
The speakers of Webinar No. 3 :
- Caroline Geffriaud – Project manager of Learning from Green African Building at the Goethe-Institut, expert in innovative pedagogy and regional mapping for sustainable construction.
- Oumar Wélé – Engineer and founder of Habidem, expert in bioclimatic construction in West Africa, recognized for achievements using bio-based and local materials.
- Ludovic Jonard – Founder of Architecture & Development and leader of the PHARD project in Senegal, a reference in eco-district development and sustainable housing.
- Rémi Lafond – Program officer at the Partnership for Energy Efficiency in Buildings (PEEB), specialist in energy efficiency and climate adaptation in the building sector.
