Mangroves Initiative - 2023 FAO Report on Mangroves

The latest FAO report on mangroves has been released. This report provides global and regional estimates of the area covered by mangrove forests, including changes in area between 2000 and 2020. It analyses the drivers of these changes at global, regional, and sub-regional levels for the periods 2000–2010 and 2010–2020, with the aim of improving the understanding of these drivers, their interactions, and the evolution of their relative importance over time.
