The Mangroves Initiative at the PRCM Forum

The 10th edition of the Coastal and Marine Forum will be held from March 29 to April 1, 2022, in Saly, Senegal, under the theme: “Ocean health, a sustainable development challenge for West African coastal countries.”
An exceptional sharing meeting between high-level actors working in the field of conservation, the forum brings together national and intergovernmental institutions, scientific institutions, NGOs, and financial partners.
Half a day will be entirely dedicated to a “Mangroves” side event – Protecting and Restoring Mangroves in West Africa – with the objective of capitalizing on experiences and best practices in mangrove conservation and restoration, in order to guide regional action during the Decade on Ecosystem Restoration. The FFEM Mangroves Initiative will be presented, along with the project in Benin.
